Your New Job:

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing food safety and quality programs. The position plays a crucial part in ongoing improvement initiatives and works closely with cross-functional teams. The role also provides leadership in both training and day-to-day guidance to ensure standards are maintained and improved.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage food safety and quality assurance programs in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards

  • Perform regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance and seek improvement opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with different departments to drive corrective and preventive actions

  • Lead and train staff across all levels on best practices in food safety and quality

  • Stay updated on food safety trends, regulations, and best practices, updating company processes as needed

  • Manage external relationships with regulatory authorities, customers, and auditors

  • Oversee documentation and recordkeeping of all food safety and quality management systems

  • Champion continuous improvement efforts across the organisation

  • Lead investigations into incidents, including identifying root cause and action planning

What Are We Looking For?
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, food technology, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in food safety and quality assurance

  • Expertise in food safety standards and regulations

  • Experience with HACCP, GMPs, and related management systems

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills

  • Great communication skills, comfortable leading teams

  • Certification in food safety is a big plus

  • Experience handling audits, inspections, and certifications

  • Background in managing food safety programs in a manufacturing setting
