Job Description

Food Preparation Assistant Ref: EE15325

Salary G3 £13.26 - £13.47 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable individual to assist in the production and delivery of school meals. The successful candidate will undertake general kitchen duties, including the cleaning of associated equipment. In return, we offer excellent pay rate, uniform and access to training.

Hours per week: 10 (38 weeks per year)
Times: 11.45am-1.45pm
Note: work hours are indicative and may vary within the stated hours depending on the needs of the service.

Successful applicants will hold or train for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate.

Special conditions
  • In line with FSA guidance and due to the identifiable health and safety risks involved, there is a requirement to undertake a pre employment health questionnaire prior to commencing kitchen duties.
  • This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
