Food & Beverage Supervisor

an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor, with particular responsibility for our Breakfast and Lounge operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences within a luxury five-star environment.

The successful candidate will be a confident, hands on supervisor with previous experience in a comparable five-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment. You will have a genuine passion for hospitality, a strong knowledge of food, wine and beverage service, and the ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining the highest standards of service and attention to detail.

The Role

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of our Breakfast, Lounge, Private Dining and Room Service areas.

You will take an active presence on the floor, leading the team during service and ensuring that every guest receives warm, intuitive and highly personalised service.

This is a hands on leadership position where attention to detail, consistency and genuine guest engagement are essential. You will help create an environment where both our guests and our team feel welcomed, valued and exceptionally well cared for.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Food & Beverage team during breakfast, lounge, private dining, function and room service operations.
• Ensure the highest standards of five-star service are consistently delivered throughout each service period.
• Create memorable guest experiences through warm, professional and personalised hospitality.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor, anticipating guest requirements and responding promptly and professionally to requests.
• Brief and motivate the team before service, ensuring everyone understands the day's business, VIP guests, special occasions, functions and individual guest requirements.
• Support the Restaurant Director and Breakfast & AM Lounge Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the department.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in line with business requirements.
• Coach, train and develop team members to achieve and maintain our required service standards.
• Support the induction and ongoing development of new team members.
• Maintain excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout all Food & Beverage areas.
• Ensure all food, beverage, crockery, glassware and operational stock levels are appropriately maintained and controlled.
• Assist with stocktakes, deliveries and the management of departmental equipment.
• Ensure all billing and till procedures are accurately followed.
• Support the management of wage costs, operational efficiencies and Food & Beverage revenue objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and relevant legislation relating to health & safety, fire safety, food hygiene, security and responsible service.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hotel to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Assume additional responsibility for the operation when required by management.

Who We Are Looking For

You will be a natural hospitality professional who enjoys being present on the floor, engaging with guests and supporting your team.

Previous supervisory experience within a five-star hotel, luxury resort, country house or comparable high-end hospitality environment is essential, ideally with strong experience in breakfast and lounge service.

You will also demonstrate:

• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and exceptional guest service.
• Proven experience supervising and motivating a Food & Beverage team.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine and beverage service at five-star level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and presentation.
• A calm, professional and confident approach during busy service periods.
• The ability to anticipate guest needs and resolve situations with discretion and professionalism.
• A strong commitment to training, developing and supporting colleagues.
• Excellent organisational skills and a hands on approach to leadership.
