FLT Warehouse Operative

Peterborough £25,000

35 Hours a week Permanent

  • Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45
  • Friday: 08:45 - 16:15

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A valid Counterbalance & Reach Truck licence
  • Previous experience within a warehouse environment
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office
  • A solid understanding of stock control processes
About the Role

This is a varied, hands on role within a clean, food grade warehouse environment. You'll be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations, from goods in through to dispatch, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards at all times.

Your day to day duties will include:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles (using FLT or manually)
  • Booking in deliveries, checking, weighing, sampling, and labelling stock
  • Accurately storing goods within designated locations
  • Picking, weighing, and packing orders to tight deadlines
  • Palletising and preparing goods for dispatch
  • Carrying out regular stock checks and stocktaking
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse
  • Following strict food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Working closely with internal teams to manage stock movement

You're someone who takes pride in doing a job well and enjoys being part of a small team. You'll be reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a physically demanding environment.

You will also:

  • Be comfortable with manual handling (regular lifting up to 25kg+)
  • Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Have a positive, team focused attitude
  • Bring a proactive mindset and willingness to learn
