Night Shift FLT Stores Assistant

Monday - Thursday 5pm - 5am

Salary £14.50ph + Shift allowance

We are seeking reliable and safety conscious FLT Stores Assistants to join our client's busy metal production facility. You will be responsible for the safe movement, storage, and control of raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies. This role is key to ensuring efficient production flow and maintaining accurate stock control within the stores department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Forklift Trucks (Bendi) safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials, metal stock, and finished products.
• Move materials to and from production areas in line with schedules and priorities.
• Maintain accurate stock records using manual and/or computerised systems.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and in the correct locations.
• Inspect FLT equipment daily and report defects promptly.
• Operating robotic welder
• Pressure Testing components both hydrostatic and air under water.
• Adhere strictly to health & safety procedures, particularly when handling heavy or sharp metal materials.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the stores and yard areas.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and production processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Valid and in date FLT licence (Bendi desirable, counterbalance or reach essential)
• Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, ideally within a manufacturing or metal production environment.
• Experience handling heavy materials (steel, aluminium, sheet metal, etc.) preferred.
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Basic IT skills for stock control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
