FLT / Yard Operative

Based in Derby this temporary FLT / Yard Operative role pays up to £13.28 per hour with weekly wages. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00.

You will load and unload vehicles safely, organise stock, and maintain the yard's cleanliness. Customer assistance with product collection is required, alongside regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies. Compliance with health and safety regulations is essential, and you may support other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Moving and organising stock within the yard
• Maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of the yard
• Assisting customers with product collection
• Conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment preferred
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
