Job Description
FLT Warehouse Operative - Counterbalance

Temporary Work Fixed Shifts IMMEDIATE START

£15 per hour

We're looking for reliable, hardworking Warehouse Operatives with an in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join a busy seasonal operation.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your entire shift sitting on a forklift. You'll be part of the wider warehouse team, so you need to be just as happy picking, packing and getting stuck into general warehouse work as you are driving an FLT.

The warehouse itself is clean, spacious and well organised, with a friendly, hardworking team.

The Role

You'll be supporting the warehouse during its busiest seasonal period, with duties including:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and confidently
  • Moving and positioning stock throughout the warehouse
  • Picking and packing orders
  • Loading and unloading
  • General warehouse duties
  • Keeping your working area clean, organised and safe
  • Working closely with the wider warehouse team to keep things moving
What You'll Need

To be considered, you must:

  • Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • Have had your licence issued or refreshed within the last 3 years
  • Have at least 1 year's practical Counterbalance FLT driving experience
  • Be happy to carry out general warehouse work alongside forklift driving
  • Be reliable and committed to your agreed shifts
  • Have your own transport - the location and shift times mean you cannot be reliant on taxis
  • Be comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
  • Be prepared to wear the required hi-vis PPE
Fixed Shifts

Afternoon Shift

  • Monday to Friday: 3:00pm - 1:00am
What You Might Not Like

We'd rather be upfront.

This is seasonal warehouse work, so it can be busy, physical and repetitive at times. The forklift is only part of the job, so if you're looking for an FLT-only position, this probably isn't the one for you.

Reliability is hugely important. The team needs people who will turn up when they say they will and communicate properly if there is ever an issue.
