Job Description
Overview

A warm and welcoming family are seeking a calm, experienced, and nurturing nanny to support their two delightful children aged four and seven. This is a minimum three day a week role, with flexibility essential, as the mother's work involves occasional travel and a changing schedule. The children will soon begin at a local Steiner school within walking distance, and the ideal nanny will feel confident supporting them through this transition with patience and consistency.

Responsibilities
  • Provide child care for 9 hours a day, 3 days a week, including proxy parenting and overnight care when required.
  • Support children's transition to a Steiner school and plan engaging activities in line with their learning needs.
  • Prepare and cook nutritious, home cooked meals and bakery items.
  • Housekeeping duties such as laundry, organising spaces, and keeping the home tidy for the children's activities.
  • Encourage active outdoor lifestyle through football, trampolining, nature exploration, and creative indoor play.
  • Drive the family vehicle as needed; own car and valid licence required.
  • Maintain personal care and cleanliness, and care for the family dog.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a nanny or in a similar childcare role.
  • Up to date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
  • Minimum 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • At least two professional referees, including a current or recent employer, immediately contactable.
  • Appropriate professional nanny insurance recommended.
  • Driving licence with acceptable driving record.
Benefits and Work Details
  • Annual salary: £24,000 gross per annum.
