Job Summary
  • We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fleet Officer to manage the company's fleet of light vehicles and oversee drivers' operations.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure efficient vehicle usage, proper maintenance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor daily operations of company vehicles and drivers
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Enforce compliance with traffic and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate fleet records and reports
  • Address driver-related issues and ensure discipline and performance
  • Schedule and track vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs
  • Ensure proper documentation (vehicle licenses, insurance, permits) are up to date
  • Assign vehicles and drivers based on operational needs
  • Monitor fuel usage and control costs
Requirements
  • HND/Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to manage drivers and coordinate operations effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Proven experience in fleet or transport management (especially light vehicles)
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety standards
  • Attention to detail and accountability
  • Cost management and efficiency
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
