Job Description

For a company that manages vending machines, we are looking for a


FLEET MANAGER


Place of work: Peschiera Borromeo (MI).


We offer: fixed-term or permanent placement. Annual salary ranging from 35.000 - 40.000 euro, depending on professional background.


Working hours: 40h weekly from Monday to Friday.


We are looking for a Fleet Manager responsible for overseeing the purchase, maintenance, and operational scheduling of the company's vehicle fleet. This role is essential to ensure that fleet operations are safe, efficient, and sustainable, while also guaranteeing compliance with all regulatory and training requirements. The position will report to the HR & Fleet Senior Leader and will directly manage 1 resource in the team.


Key Responsibilities


  • purchasing vehicles to expand and/or upgrade the fleet;
  • scheduling regular maintenance for all vehicles;
  • handling urgent or emergency repairs as needed;
  • establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules;
  • coordinating drivers and maintenance staff when planning work shifts;
  • managing vehicle licensure and registration;
  • ensuring all fleet members possess required licenses and up-to-date training;
  • monitoring driver behavior;
  • reporting to management on budgeting, scheduling, maintenance, and fleet performance;
  • developing methods to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.


Requirements


  • belonging to the Protected Categories art. 1 (L. 68/99);
  • previous experience in the role of at least 3 years;
  • experience in participating in tenders for the selection of suppliers in the fleet sector;
  • knowledge of best practices in driving, delivery, and vehicle maintenance;
  • strong skills in mathematics and data analysis (Excel, Database);
  • familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software;
  • basic understanding of vehicle mechanics, including identifying major repairs and decision-making abilities;
  • exceptional organizational, time management, people management, and multitasking skills en and spoken Italian and English;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills.
