Job Description
We will work together CDD Driving Agent - EU - 3x8 We will work together Within the Energy and Industrial Ecology Department, the Wastewater (EU) activity aims to transport and treat wastewater from the canton and the cross-border region and evacuate it into the environment. EU fulfills this role in compliance with federal and cantonal water laws and based on the cantonal framework. Our core business will always remain water; our ongoing and upcoming challenges are significant and essential for ambitious goals in environmental sustainability (treatment of micropollutants, biogas production, solar PV production, thermal treatment of wastewater and sludge, CO2 emissions reduction). Additionally, we face technological challenges that we need to tackle to improve our methods such as AI-assisted predictive maintenance or our processes through digital twins. As a Driving Agent, your mission will be to ensure optimal operation at the Aïre unit by integrating into the team on a shift basis, which is tasked with ensuring the operation and development of pumping processes and energy through electromechanical, biological, and sustainable means for a sustainable Geneva. As part of your role, you will be responsible for:- Monitoring and managing the treatment facilities for water and sludge at the Aïre wastewater treatment plant; - Collaborating with your supervisor, your team, engineers, and the unit manager to ensure the technical and human smooth operation and to resolve complex problems arising in your capacity as a team member contributing to the development of all processes within your scope; - Applying and enforcing health and safety rules at work; - Investing your time in adapting to new technologies and developing new competencies.To take on the responsibilities of this position, you should have skills and a positive, proactive mindset to tackle technical innovations and challenges. You need to demonstrate reliability and commitment consistently, and you have a sense of accomplishment appreciating fieldwork in a team context with shift schedules. You should possess common sense in seeking solutions and have very good knowledge of the processes implemented. Academic background: You hold a vocational diploma as a mechanic or electrician or an equivalent qualification and have at least 3 years of technical experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment.
