Fitter (HGV Field Service Engineer)

The ideal candidate will be organised, have a strong attention to detail, and a passion for automotive work. You will be responsible for a wide range of vehicle-related maintenance, including hydraulic and high-pressure jetting systems, vehicle maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Hydraulic and High Pressure Jetting Systems: possessing in-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, maintaining and troubleshooting high-pressure jetting systems, and conducting regular inspections and testing.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: conducting routine inspections and maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic and jetting system issues, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: responding promptly to breakdowns, utilising diagnostic tools, and collaborating with the wider team to analyse recurring problems.
  • Legislation and Compliance: staying up-to-date with relevant legislation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and implementing safe working practices.
About You:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HGV vehicle servicing, a Class B Driving Licence, and fully recognised industry qualifications. Previous water industry experience is preferred, and hydraulics experience is desirable.
