VANRATH is recruiting a Fire Alarm Installer to join their fun and friendly Belfast team.
Monday - Friday. Permanent position.
Office based beside Hannahstown / Andersontown.
Salary£31,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience + Monthly productivity bonus (average £5k per annum)
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be tasked with installing, maintaining, servicing, and commissioning fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and residential properties. All work must be completed to the highest standards and in full compliance with applicable regulations and industry codes of practice.
- Install, maintain, and commission both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on fire detection and alarm systems.
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and testing in line with BS5839 standards.
- Accurately complete service reports and maintain relevant documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients and site personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Participate in the on call rota and attend emergency call outs as required.
- Demonstrable experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
- In depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, including addressable platforms such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, and Morley.
- Solid understanding of BS5839 and other applicable standards.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence.
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving abilities.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach.
- FIA or equivalent fire alarm training certification.
- Experience with emergency lighting systems.
- Familiarity with additional life safety systems such as access control and CCTV.
