Fire Alarm / Fire Protection Engineer - Carlow / Kilkenny

A well-established, reputable business based in Carlow is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm or Fire Protection Engineer. If you know your way around fire detection and protection systems, hold a solid electrical background, and you're tired of lengthy commutes - this could be the role worth stopping for.

The Role

Working across commercial and industrial sites in the Carlow/Kilkenny region - installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm and fire protection systems. Permanent position with a company where people tend to stay.

Day to day:

• Installation and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive callouts
• Fault finding, diagnosis, and system testing
• Client facing work on commercial and industrial sites
• Completion of service records and handover documentation

Who They're Looking For

• Proven experience in fire alarm or fire protection engineering
• Electrical qualification a strong advantage - Safe Electric / RECI registered or equivalent highly desirable
• Familiarity with leading panel manufacturers (Hochiki, Notifier, Morley, Apollo, or similar)
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Clean driving licence
• Local to Carlow/Kilkenny - commutable distance preferred
