Job Title: Finishing & Packaging Operator

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and ever growing print and packaging company that is looking for a Finishing & Packaging Operator to join their high performing production team.

The Role

As a Finishing & Packaging Operator, you'll take ownership of machines within the Finishing & Packaging department - ensuring they run efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Ensuring the correct job, code and version are running
  • Setting up machines and gaining "OK to Proceed" sign off
  • Monitoring quality and making precision adjustments to maintain output
  • Maximising machine speed while maintaining exceptional standards
  • Leading smooth and effective shift handovers
  • Coaching and guiding assistants allocated to your machine
  • Supporting across other machines when required
  • Maintaining Lean Manufacturing standards
  • Ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001, BRC and Health & Safety regulations
  • Completing all required production and quality documentation
  • Reporting issues, breakdowns or target shortfalls proactively

This is a hands on role where attention to detail and accountability are key.

What We're Looking For:
  • Strong machine operating experience within manufacturing/packaging
  • Excellent quality awareness and attention to detail
  • Solid Health & Safety knowledge (BRC understanding highly desirable)
  • A proactive approach to hitting and exceeding production targets
  • Confidence communicating across shifts and with leadership teams
  • A team focused mindset with the ability to guide and support others
  • Flexibility to provide cross machine and holiday/sickness cover
Technical Requirements
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and BRC standards
