Job Overview

We are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver to work in Sittingbourne for our client who has one of the biggest names within the HGV industry.

Consolidated Pay Rates (Paid Weekly): The rate of pay is £17.14- £21.28 per hour.

Job Details

This role offers day shifts working the following shift patterns and start times:

• Friday to Tuesday 1:30am
• Tuesday to Saturday 12:45am
• Sunday to Thursday 1:15am
• Tuesday to Saturday 1:45am
• Monday to Friday 5am
• Thursday to Monday 12:01am or 2:30am
• Wednesday to Sunday 12:30am

Responsibilities

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations

Requirements

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements and understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation.

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
