Financial Reporting & Controls Manager

On behalf of our esteemed client, a pioneering leader in the Insurance industry, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting & Controls Manager to join their dedicated Finance team. This is a permanent position based within the heart of their operations, offering a pivotal role in driving financial accuracy and integrity across Europe.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting that complies with General Accepted Accounting Principles specific to each country within the EMEA region.
  • Lead and supervise the preparation of statutory financial statements and consolidated reports, ensuring they meet local and regional compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage financial audits by preparing required schedules and documentation, and working closely with external auditors to address any findings.
  • Provide strategic advice and financial analysis to senior management regarding EMEA financial operations and impact on global strategies.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the EMEA region.
  • Manage a diverse team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Key Skills:
  • Profound knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically in statutory reporting requirements across various EMEA countries.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading Insurance audits and financial closing processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and influence across different levels of the organisation.
  • High degree of proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
