We are hiring for our client, a prominent manufacturing organisation based in Ballymena. Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to oversee the financial management across various sectors and geographical operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, cost optimisation, compliance, and internal controls.

The Role:
  • Prepare and deliver consolidated financial reports, variance analysis, and KPIs to senior management
  • Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes to support business growth initiatives
  • Manage cost and inventory controls while optimising profitability and margins
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and oversee monthly accounting close processes
  • Collaborate with operational teams to drive financial discipline and support capital investment projects
  • Mentor and lead the finance team to ensure a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Drive process improvements, including automating reporting tasks and rolling out new financial systems
The Person:
  • ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management within a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Experience with ERP systems, with a focus on process improvements
  • Knowledge of HMRC compliance, VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax
