Financial Controller Nottingham
£75k + Benefits Introduction

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experiencedFinancial Controllerto join a well established and growing business based inNottingham, offering a salary of£75,000 plus excellent benefits. This is a key leadership role within the finance team and will suit a commercially minded qualified accountant who enjoys working in a fast paced operational environment. The position isoffice based five days per week. The organisation is a long standing UK business operating within thefood distribution and wholesale sector, supplying products nationwide, withdecades of trading history, anestablished customer base, andcontinued business growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed financial analysis to support decision making.

  • Manage working capital including stock, receivables, supplier payments and cash flow forecasting.

  • Oversee financial controls, statutory reporting and coordinate the annual audit process.

  • Provide financial insight into margins, pricing and operational performance across the business.

What Experience is Required

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.

  • Strong background in inventory based organisations such asFMCG, wholesale, food distribution or similar sectors.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with a hands on and commercially focused approach.
