An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and technically strong Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing investment business in Dublin 2. This is a unique chance to become one of the first 15 employees within the organisation and play a key role in building and developing the finance function during a significant growth phase.
We are seeking a qualified accountant with a strong hedge funds background, ideally combining experience gained within a Top 10 accounting firm and subsequent industry exposure within the hedge funds sector.
The RoleReporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the end-to-end accounting, reporting, and control environment across a group of entities operating in multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full accounting cycle across multiple legal entities
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements
- Developing and maintaining robust financial controls and governance frameworks
- Coordinating external audits and liaising with advisors across various jurisdictions
- Supporting regulatory, statutory, and management reporting requirements
- Driving process improvements and helping establish best-in class finance operations as the business scales
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to support strategic growth initiatives
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience (PQE)
- Trained within a Top 10 accounting firm
- Strong hedge funds exposure gained in practice
- Ideally additional experience working within the hedge funds industry
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge with strong US GAAP and IFRS experience
- Proven financial reporting and control background
- Experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive within a fast paced, high growth environment
- Salary up to €80,000
