Job Description
About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic leader to head up the Bibendum Off Trade financial control function, driving world-class financial management and control processes within a well-structured organisational design. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial transactions and controls across the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You'll also play a key role in delivering business process initiatives from concept through to implementation, while providing robust support to stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Accountabilities
  • Day to day management of the Finance team allocating resource as required in order to ensure the departments key objectives are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the teams with a KPI focused approach and drive efficiency across finance processes.
  • Review control environment and work to develop and implement robust controls, policies and processes. Ensure standards are set through KPI's and specific objectives.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of all financial reporting to C&C in accordance with corporate guidelines and appropriate financial standards.
  • Lead the business unit in balance sheet and cash flow management through the provision of appropriate reporting and behavioural standards.
  • Drive the function to a cost-effective supply of transaction and financial control services to the business, focusing on operational design and business process.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciliations are completed for all balance sheet accounts in a timely manner.
  • Leadership and personal development of the Finance Team through clear targets, measurements and creating a high achievement environment.
  • Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modelling.
  • Support the commercial finance team on ad hoc requests and analysis.
  • Payment and reconciliation of the various duty/UK government charges
  • Completion of Statutory accounts, ensuring they are filed on time.
  • Responsible for establishing & maintaining highly focused analysis of business performance across all core business dimensions, with identifiable actions undertaken.
  • Liaison with Group Tax, Treasury and Reporting functions to drive working capital and tax planning initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for profit and balance sheet enhancement, whilst delivering on core strategic objectives.
  • Provide objective financial support on decision making within the business as required.
About you
  • Qualified accountant with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present financial information confidently at senior level.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team.
  • Naturally inquisitive, driven, and keen to improve reporting and processes.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems. NetSuite experience is desirable.
