WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTDue to the strategic realignment of the Coatings business unit, a dedicated finance department is being established. This presents an exciting opportunity to develop and shape the finance organization from its foundation. Therefore, we are looking for a Financial Consolidation & IFRS Reporting Specialist with the following objectives:
- You ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial statements for the coatings division, aligning with both strategic business objectives and statutory requirements as the finance function is established.
- You lead the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring precision and compliance with IFRS, and support both internal stakeholders and external regulatory needs.
- Furthermore, you apply a risk-based approach to financial reporting compliance by managing the legal entity FRC scope, defining company-specific FRC measures, leading the global FRC coordinators community, and delivering targeted training programs.
- You provide technical IFRS expertise, implement and monitor accounting policies, and maintain thorough documentation to support audits and organizational transparency and you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including accounting, tax, and other finance functions-to align reporting activities, enhance transparency, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- You drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process and technology enhancements, integrating system updates, and conducting IFRS training to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
- university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CA are advantageous
- at least 5 years of experience in financial consolidation and IFRS reporting within a large, preferably multinational, organization
- experience in the chemicals industry or similar sectors is beneficial, especially during transitions or carve-outs
- extensive knowledge of consolidation principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements, with proficiency in financial consolidation software, SAP, and advanced MS Office skills
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- proficiency in English and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a multicultural, dynamic environment
