Financial Analyst - IT & Project Finance | Contract | Cork (On-site)

Immediate start | Long-term rolling contract with perm option

Are you a detail-driven Financial Analyst who enjoys keeping complex operations running smoothly? This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting a large-scale IT and change portfolio, with strong investment, long-term visibility, and the potential to move permanent.

Based in Cork, this role requires 4 days per week on-site initially, reducing to 2-3 days over time.

What you'll be doing

You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations across a high-value project portfolio, enabling senior finance leaders to focus on strategic delivery.

  • Managing high-volume budget movements, rebalancing, and reconciliations

  • Owning month-end activities including accruals, reclassifications, and validation checks

  • Supporting forecasting accuracy, cost tracking, and financial controls

  • Maintaining audit-ready financial documentation and data integrity

  • Partnering with project managers and finance stakeholders during peak cycles

Essential skills

  • Background in finance operations, accounting, or shared services

  • Strong understanding of accruals, reconciliations, and reclassifications

  • Excellent Excel skills and high attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in structured, deadline-driven environments

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting IT, PMO, or project-based finance

  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or cost control

  • Studying towards a professional accounting qualification
