Job Description
Role Overview

Reporting of divisional Profit & Loss Accounts within month end deadlines. Responsible for the production and reconciliation of all relevant Balance Sheet accounts. Preparation of month end journals re accruals and prepayments. Reporting explanation of P&L variances Vs budget. Assisting P&L owners with understanding of results and variances Vs budget. Ensure all assigned G/L reconciliations are prepared on a timely basis within set deadlines. Identify and escalated any problems/issues with reconciliations as they occur. Recommend any improvements in procedures etc. to improve efficiency of completing tasks. Year End Statutory Reporting and Bank obligation reporting.

Qualifications & Experience
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified
  • Previous experience in financial accounting or audit environment
  • Good understanding of financial reporting and month end processes
  • Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and journals
  • Ability to analyse financial information and explain variances
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems would be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive and proactive approach to work
