We are looking for a Financial Accountant for a global firm based in Canary Wharf, London E14 5AA.

The role is office-based in Canary Wharf; it is not hybrid. The company offers a 9-day fortnight (every second Friday off). There may be some homeworking in the future at the manager's discretion.

Reporting to the Manager UK & HQ Financial Accounting, this individual will provide financial accounting services to the company's Europe business.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for UK entities, liaising with auditors (KPMG), and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP (FRS102).
  • Leading interim and year-end SOX control audits, coordinating responses, and supporting UK & HQ accounting and projects.
  • Ensuring timely internal monthly reporting to US headquarters, including benefit analysis, taxes, and doubtful accounts.
  • Performing month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reviewing SAP entries.
  • Handling ad hoc statutory and analytical work, representing the team on projects.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Degree educated and qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102).
  • 5+ years post-qualification experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Advanced Excel & SAP skills; Thomson Reuters OneSource experience preferred.
