Financial Accountant

Your New Job:

You'll take on a pivotal accounting role, reporting directly to the General Manager. You'll be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records, supporting audits, and working closely with colleagues across different departments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and manage accruals, including payroll journals
• Reconcile bank, debtor, and creditor accounts for accurate period closures
• Collaborate with management to produce monthly accounts
• Develop rolling financial and cashflow forecasts
• Handle bi-monthly VAT and annual reporting
• Complete Intrastat and CSO survey requirements
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure accurate general ledger
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
• Manage purchase orders and sign off on invoices
• Support year-end audits and manage stock counts
• Provide payroll cover as needed
• Liaise with insurance brokers, customs agents, and contractors
• Assist with job costing and tender applications

What Are We Looking For?:

• Fully qualified accountant, ideally with5 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in IT, excel skills andwith experience with SAGE
• Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, flexible, and deadline-driven
