Job Description

Cedar is partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed international organisation to appoint a Group Financial Accountant within its central finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly or recently qualified ACA to build on their training in a fast-scaling, commercially driven environment. The business operates across multiple European markets and is undergoing significant expansion, offering strong exposure to international operations, senior stakeholders, and group-level finance activity.

You will play a key role in financial reporting, controls, and decision support, working closely with senior finance leadership and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for multiple group entities, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Supporting the year-end statutory accounts preparation and external audit process
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities across the group
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital managementAssisting with tax compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions (corporation tax, VAT, etc.)
  • Analysing financial data to support business decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and controls
  • Partnering with non-finance stakeholders across the organisation

This role offers strong exposure to group-level reporting and provides an excellent platform for progression within a growing international business.

About You

  • ACA qualification (or recently qualified)
  • Training within a recognised accountancy practice (Top 20 & Top 50 preferred)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership
  • Advanced Excel capability; experience with accounting systems advantageous

Desirable:

Exposure to management accounts or industry environments Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
