Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Transformation Lead to drive end-to-end change across the entire finance function as part of a wider business transformation focused on finance automation, regulatory adherence, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on, senior-level contract role for a professional who can take ownership of multiple in-flight initiatives and ensure their successful delivery.
You will be the primary driver from within finance, working closely with technology, project management, and third-party vendors to deliver meaningful improvements in processes, controls, and systems.
Working hours: 37.5
Contract Length: 12 month FTC
Reporting into: Group CFO
Location: London, Hybrid 3 days per week in the office
Key Objectives
- Deliver transformation projects within the finance function, including:
- Safeguarding compliance enhancements (FINOPS).
- Netsuite process and configuration improvements.
- End-to-end reconciliations improvements.
- Improvements in billing across the group
- Other finance related ad hoc projects and improvements
- Support better adherence to regulatory requirements while improving efficiency and automation.
- Collaborate with technology teams (including overseas) to align system and process changes.
- Continue and complete existing design work, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of finance transformation workstreams, acting as the main finance representative in the wider business transformation programme.
- Work hands-on to map, refine, and implement process and system improvements.
- Manage relationships with technology teams, both local and offshore, to ensure system changes meet finance needs.
- Oversee and coordinate with third-party vendors delivering aspects of the transformation.
- Partner with the central project manager for overall programme governance, while owning delivery of finance-specific initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency within the finance function.
- Ensure changes are compliant with relevant regulatory frameworks, including safeguarding requirements.
- Documentation of end to end business processes
- Provide regular progress updates to the CFO and senior stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to safeguarding and acquiring within the payments space.
- Proven track record in leading finance transformation initiatives in a senior capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience with Netsuite in a transformation or process improvement context.
- Experience in process re-engineering and operating model change within finance.
- Comfortable acting as an individual contributor, while engaging with multiple teams across the organisation.
- Implementing a cross org finance change programme experience
- Experience working closely with technology teams, including offshore collaboration.
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work at pace in a complex, multi-project environment.
Desirable:
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in automation projects or finance system upgrades.
