Finance Systems Manager required for a 12 Month Fixed term contract

Hays has partnered with global commercial businesses who are at the forefront of their industry and leading the way in their internal systems and development. As such they are looking to hire a Finance Systems Manager for a 12 month Fixed Term contract to oversee the smooth implementation and transition to a new ERP solution.

Your new role
The Finance Systems Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end transition of finance operations from legacy systems to a new ERP solution - Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that financial data is accurately transferred, and that the new system meets business requirements and operational goals. The ideal candidate will have deep ERP expertise, a proven track record in large-scale finance transformation and the ability to align systems and processes with broader business strategies. The primary goal is to ensure that the finance operations are effectively integrated into the new system with minimal disruption to business activities.
The project has contracted with a systems' integration partner so a key part of this role will be ensuring they deliver to requirements and what is implemented remains true to our global simplified design principles.
What you'll need to succeed

Extensive experience leading large-scale finance ERP transition programs, ideally within a global organisation.

Proven expertise in ERP system implementation and optimisation, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

Strong background in finance operations and business partnering, with a track record of driving process improvements.

Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership across business units.

A solid understanding of financial reporting, planning and forecasting, with the ability to enhance these processes through system and operational improvements.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, with a focus on risk management, change management and successful delivery.

Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and third-party partners.

Relevant qualifications in finance, business administration or a related field (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

A strong understanding of global finance regulations and compliance standards.
