An exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as a Finance Optimisation Manager supporting strategic projects and key optimisation initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Finance Optimisation, you will analyze data and business processes to identify opportunities for optimisation and automation. You will also ensure accurate preparation of acquired company data for seamless migration into the finance system. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and gather requirements for process improvements, applying your accounting knowledge and familiarity with D365 F&O and other IT applications to develop effective solutions.
Your core responsibilities
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and data to identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and efficiency improvements.
- Lead collaboration with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and gather requirements for process enhancements.
- Evaluate finance change requests for feasibility, impact, and benefits, providing expert advice to ensure timely progress and tracking.
- Work closely with finance teams throughout project phases, ensuring effective communication, planning, and delivery.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the success of optimisation initiatives and identify further improvements.
- Support data management activities for migration cycles, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during system upgrades.
- Maintain accounting integrity across projects in line with policies, standards, and regulations.
- Implement and test automation tools and solutions, collaborating with IT and project teams.
- Provide analytical support for various projects and ad-hoc requests to the Head of Finance Optimisation.
- Mentor and develop junior team members to foster a motivated and engaged team.
Our essential requirements
- Experience in finance with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Professional accountancy qualification is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and techniques.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 and the broader Microsoft technology stack.
