Finance Officer

Our client, an FCA-regulated firm, who are at the forefront of providing institutional-grade digital asset execution, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their Finance Team.This role offers excellent opportunities for personal and career development within the exciting world of digital assets, providing exposure to a wide variety of accounting functions. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the team, managing purchase and sales ledger duties, assisting with month-end and year-end preparations, annual audits, budgeting, and forecasting, and being the first point of contact for any finance queries within the company.Responsibilities

• Leading the accounts payable process
• Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
• Raising and issuing invoices to their customers
• Reconciling company bank accounts
• Working closely with the Finance Director for timely preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting for senior management
• Acting as the main point of contact with banking providers
• Collaborating with the financial auditor for smooth and timely annual audit completion
• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting for senior management
• Reviewing payroll with HR for staff in multiple jurisdictions
• Working with the Tax Director and external tax advisers to prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with tax legislation
• Reviewing and approving vendor payments
• Assisting with finance-related queries from other departments

Skills, Knowledge, and ExpertiseEssential:

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Highly proficient with MS Excel
• Practical, pragmatic, and enjoys working as part of a small team in a busy environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

Desirable:

• Previous use of NetSuite accounting software
• Experience with UK VAT reporting
• Payroll knowledge
• Understanding of FCA reporting requirements for regulated entities
