Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, position would suit a commercially minded finance professional looking to take ownership of a broad finance role while contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Finance Director and wider management team to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a finance team of five, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Compile divisional reporting packs for submission to Group Finance.
  • Maintain balance sheet integrity, ensuring reconciliations and financial controls are completed effectively.
  • Produce daily and weekly financial and operational reports, highlighting key trends and performance indicators.
  • Assist with the preparation of half-year and year-end reporting requirements.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting activities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting efficiencies.
  • Work with the Finance Director to enhance costing methodologies and financial reporting processes.
  • Support the development and review of customer pricing models, including profitability and margin analysis.
  • Provide variance analysis against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Deliver financial analysis to support operational performance and informed decision-making.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, audit requirements, taxation obligations, and statutory regulations.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements in conjunction with Group Finance.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with experience in industry, ideally within a group company or commercial finance environment.
  • Previous people management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across the business.
  • Hands on and proactive approach, with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an advantage.
