Job Description
We are recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of a well established construction company based in Keenagh, Co. Longford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a successful and growing business in a broad, hands on role. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take ownership of the day to day finance function while supporting wider business operations, payroll, tender administration and office management.
Construction industry experience with hands on RCT knowledge is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day to day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
- Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts and financial reports for the Directors.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general bookkeeping activities.
- Complete bank reconciliations, cashflow reporting and financial analysis.
- Process payroll and ensure all payroll related compliance requirements are met.
- Prepare and submit RCT, VAT and PAYE returns through Revenue Online Service (ROS).
- Ensure compliance with Revenue and statutory reporting requirements.
- Assist with the preparation and administration of construction tenders and supporting documentation.
- Manage company administration, including fleet, insurance and office related activities.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors and professional advisors.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, systems and processes.
- Provide financial and operational support to the Directors.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Finance Manager, Company Accountant, Senior Bookkeeper or similar finance role.
- Previous experience working within the construction industry is essential.
- Proven hands on experience managing RCT, VAT, PAYE and ROS submissions.
- Experience processing payroll.
- Strong bookkeeping and management accounting experience.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
