Role OverviewThe Finance Manager reports to the Managing Director and will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, month-end close, CSP billing reconciliation, and financial reporting. A critical component of this role is ensuring Landmark's accounts are correctly aligned with SLI (Service Leadership International) standards and completing monthly and quarterly SLI reporting ahead of deadlines. This role is essential to supporting our MSP 3.0 growth narrative, improving financial visibility, and maintaining our standing within the SLI benchmarking community.
Key Responsibilities- Manage month-end close process, including invoice processing, reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
- Ensure all financial data is aligned with SLI (Service Leadership International) account structure and classification standards
- Complete monthly and quarterly SLI reporting submissions ahead of published deadlines
- Reconcile and validate data before SLI submission to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Reconcile all vendor billing, including Microsoft CSP billing, and manage revenue recognition
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts aligned with our business targets
- Work with ConnectWise PSA to extract billing and margin data; produce dashboard reports on project profitability
- Provide monthly financial reporting to the leadership team and support board discussions, incorporating SLI insights
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, cost reduction, automation, and margin improvement
- Collaborate on financial planning and budget setting for annual cycles, referencing SLI industry standards
- 5+ years accounting or finance experience, ideally in a service-based business
- Strong technical accounting skills: month-end close, reconciliation, journal entries
- Familiarity with industry benchmarking frameworks or data submission requirements - desirable
- Experience with PSA or billing systems (ConnectWise, Autotask, or similar) - desirable
- Familiarity with SaaS / cloud revenue models and CSP billing - desirable
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across commercial and technical teams
- ACCA, ACA, or AAT qualification preferred
- Month-end close completed on schedule by 5th of following month
- Monthly SLI submission completed 10+ days before deadline, with zero errors
- Quarterly SLI submission completed ahead of deadline with validation complete
- Zero material discrepancies in SLI account alignment and data reconciliations
- Forecasts accurate within 5% vs. actuals
- Quarterly financial reports delivered on time, with SLI benchmarking analysis included
- Identification of at least 2-3 process improvements or cost saving opportunities per annum, informed by SLI benchmarking
