Job Description

The Finance Manager has responsibility for managing all aspects of the accounting department and performing a variety of activities to support the Managing Director, Lissone, Italy and the group Chief Financial Officer, based in world headquarters in US.


They will provide financial advice and support to help senior managers and executives make key decisions.


Responsibilities include:

Management of and responsibility for the Finance department and its operations

Production and review of financial statements for European entities

Project revenue recognition by Percentage of Completion (POC)

Ensure statutory and tax compliance

Financial analysis and commentary

Review business performance with executive and senior management

Production of annual budgets

Manage financial audits

Manage relationships with banks, external consultants and outsourced service providers

Cashflow forecasting and reporting, including foreign exchange risk

Implementation, development and maintenance of financial systems and tool

Review financial processes and implement improvement plans

Deliver on special projects as required

The Candidate:

Accounting qualification or degree

Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar finance management role

Experience implementing financial or ERP software

Experience using Sage is desirable

Experience in Percentage of Completion (POC) calculations

IT literate (Microsoft Office), with Excellent Excel skills.

Leadership or management experience

Fluent in Italian and English

Good communicator - verbal and written at all levels.

Confident and assertive

Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Resourceful, good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and highly dependable.

Good organisation, time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Flexible and able to manage unexpected situations

Good team player

Ability to use initiative and make decisions autonomously. Committed to continuous improvement
