Finance Controller

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a contract position inside IR35 to support our finance team during a period of transition and growth. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with statutory obligations and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

This is a hybrid role between remote and client's offices in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

This is an urgent role so suitable candidates must be available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax filings, and audit requirements
• Partner with business units to drive financial performance and efficiency
• Manage and oversee a small finance team (if applicable)
• Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS)
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills (eg, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite - specify as relevant)
• Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
