Main duties of the jobWe are seeking a senior, qualified, and experienced Accountant to join the Financial Management team.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality financial management advice and support to managers and clinicians within a Clinical Service Unit (CSU).
You will also lead and manage a team of CSU accountants and financial staff, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
The role offers opportunities to lead projects and initiatives across the wider finance function.
The Person we are looking for- Fully qualified CCAB or ACMA Accountant
- Experience in a finance function, preferably in financial management
- Knowledge of accounting concepts, policies, and procedures
- Ability to analyze complex situations and make judgements involving multiple options
- Inclusive leadership style with the ability to challenge, negotiate, and influence
- Experience leading cross-cutting projects and collaborating with stakeholders to improve performance
- Autonomous and results-driven, committed to delivering quality services efficiently

Person Specification Experience- Extensive experience providing detailed financial advice to management
- Experience in budget setting, financial planning, and reporting within the NHS
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and make informed judgments
- Experience leading collaborative projects to improve performance
- Ability to react quickly to financial requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills
- Effective communication and leadership skills, confident in challenging and being challenged
- Full professional accountancy qualification (CCAB or CIMA)
- At least 5 O levels/GCSEs, including Maths and English
