We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Business Partner to lead the UK finance function. This role works closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance, ensure compliance and support business growth.

This is a good opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their Finance career, possibly wanting to move into a Finance Manager role and be involved at a more senior level.

About the Role

You will take ownership of all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and delivering valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, budgeting and cash management
  • Prepare financial statements in line with UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes (liaising with outsourced Accountants)
  • Ensure compliance with UK tax, VAT and statutory requirements
  • Manage transfer pricing policies and intercompany transactions
  • Support tax planning and liaise with external advisors
  • Coordinate audits and work with auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial procedures
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
About You Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Ideally at least AAT qualified (full or part CIMA advantageous)
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in progressive finance roles
  • Experience with UK statutory reporting and auditsProven leadership or management experience
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Experience with transfer pricing and cross-border structures (advantageous)
