Job Description
Overview

The Finance Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to allocated Faculties and Directorates, owning key financial relationships and supporting senior leaders in making informed, evidence based decisions. The postholder will provide high quality financial insight, deliver robust budgeting and forecasting, and ensure that financial planning aligns with the University's strategic aims. This role plays a critical part in monitoring financial performance, shaping investment decisions, and driving value for money across operational and project activities.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic advisor to allocated Faculties and Directorates, owning key financial relationships and supporting senior leaders in making informed, evidence based decisions.
  • Provide high quality financial insight, deliver robust budgeting and forecasting, and ensure financial planning aligns with the University's strategic aims.
  • Monitor financial performance, shape investment decisions, and drive value for money across operational and project activities.
Background and Experience Required
  • Studying for accountancy qualification/willingness to study.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Confident communicator able to translate complex financial information into meaningful insight.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning within a complex organisation.
  • Committed to supporting strategic objectives and driving financial sustainability.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £50,160 per annum.
