• Engage with stakeholders internally and externally to understand best practices and influence decision-makers.
• Contribute actively to each business area to impact commercial and non-financial performance decisions.
• Support continuous improvement and performance excellence initiatives, achieving strong results.
• Manage performance, financial risks, and the implementation & maintenance of controls.
• Define value, key drivers that create value, and KPIs to measure value; ensure these inform performance management, decision-making, and planning.
• Present monthly results in a style suitable for both finance and non-finance audiences, delivering insights and highlighting priority areas for focus, ensuring long-term efficiencies.
• Lead investment appraisals for relevant business areas, guiding decision-making with insights and optimization opportunities, ensuring investments align with strategy and value requirements.
• Support the financial response to price controls and maximize future allowances for infrastructure and service investments.
• Foster effective working relationships across Finance and Business Services, aligning services with business needs through the 'embedded/focused/self-service' model.
• Contribute to developing and maintaining a cohesive Finance & Business Services team, supporting CFO priorities to create a high-performing community.
