Field Services Engineer

Mason Technology is a wholly owned Irish company established in 1780, the principal activities are the distribution and supply of laboratory and analytical instruments.

The Role

Mason Technology is seeking an Analytical Field Service Engineer to join our Service Team, primarily supporting customers throughout the Leinster region, with occasional travel nationwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Mettler Toledo Analytical products, CAMAG systems, and other instruments within our analytical portfolio. Working closely with our Service Call Centre and customers, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest levels of equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

Comprehensive manufacturer training will be provided, including both online and factory-based training, primarily in Switzerland.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of analytical instrumentation.
• Preventive maintenance, calibration, and servicing.
• Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
• Providing technical support and advice to customers.
• Completing service documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Working closely with the Service Team and Service Call Centre to deliver excellent customer support.
• Maintaining compliance with quality and safety procedures.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised qualification or relevant experience in Chemistry, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience working within regulated quality environments, such as ISO, INAB, or similar quality systems.
• A strong technical aptitude and an interest in laboratory instrumentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

The role will involve supporting a range of analytical instruments, including:

• Mettler Toledo Analytical products
• CAMAG instrumentation
• Other analytical instruments within the Mason Technology portfolio
