Field Service Technician

Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Essex (with travel across surrounding areas)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• To provide a technical service to customers, including the maintenance and repair of Print products and Pre and Post Processing equipment.
• To ensure customers receive a satisfactory service in line with agreed service level agreements.
• Provide a technical service for both installation and de-installation of products, ensuring that project milestones for installations and de-installations are achieved efficiently meeting contractual obligations.
• Ensuring customers are kept up to date on the progress made.
• Responsible for the timely escalation of technical problems as specified within Service processes, to ensure the downtime of equipment is kept in a minimum.
• To maximise revenue by identifying additional business and professional service opportunities, whilst carrying out day-to-day duties.
• Ensuring these opportunities are reported through the correct channels.
• Responsible to supporting the management of business relationships with customers and end users in order to maximise customer satisfaction.
• Management and control of vehicle and account stock, to improve first time fix levels to customers, and to minimise stock losses.
• Out of hours and shift working will be required as the business need dictates including weekends and Public Holidays.

Role Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
• Previous experience in a Field Technician role, preferably within the Production Print sector
• Excellent technical knowledge of the full range of RGC product range
• Excellent knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering
• IT literate.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
