Job Description
Field Service Maintenance Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)

We are currently recruiting for Field Service Maintenance Engineers for our client that operates across Ireland, delivering installation, service, and maintenance support for commercial catering equipment. They work with clients across hospitality, healthcare, and foodservice, and are now expanding their engineering team to support continued growth.

We are looking for experienced field engineers who want a long-term role with strong autonomy, varied technical work, and clear progression within a growing business.

This is a field-based engineering position focused on the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial catering equipment across customer sites.

You will work across a wide range of electrical, gas, refrigeration, and mechanical systems, carrying out both routine maintenance and complex fault finding. The role is hands on, client facing, and highly varied.

We are hiring at mid-level and senior engineer level, with scope to work independently and, at senior level, support and mentor others within the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain, and repair commercial catering equipment on customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, gas, refrigeration, and mechanical faults
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Install and commission new equipment
  • Deliver effective breakdown response and technical solutions
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement lasting fixes
  • Complete accurate service documentation and reports
  • Work across multiple sites daily (typically 5 calls per day depending on workload)
  • Participate in a 1 in 5 on call rota and out of hours support
  • Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven field service or maintenance engineering experience
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field based role
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Strong communication and customer facing skills
  • Willingness to travel across ROI and Northern Ireland
  • Commitment to ongoing technical development
Desirable Experience:
  • Electrical or Gas qualifications
  • Refrigeration/HVAC experience
  • Commercial catering equipment experience
  • Basic plumbing knowledge
  • Safe Pass / CSR or similar site certification
