Job Description
Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Industrial Laundry

Location: Manchester (field-based)
Salary: £36,000 basic + bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday
On-call: 1 in 4 weekends

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our service team supporting industrial laundry equipment across customer sites in Manchester and surrounding areas. This is a field based role offering strong earning potential, excellent benefits, and a healthy work-life balance.

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, fault finding, and repair of commercial and industrial laundry machinery, working independently while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and repair industrial laundry equipment at customer premises
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Install and commission new equipment where required
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately
  • Participate in a 1-in-4 weekend on call rota
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
Skills & Experience
  • Electrical bias essential, with solid mechanical knowledge
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar
  • Backgrounds considered:
    • Industrial or commercial laundry
    • Commercial equipment
    • Residential white goods / domestic appliances
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good customer facing and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
