JCB FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERThe ideal candidate will have experience servicing plant equipment within industrial and/or construction applications, and possess a full clean driving licence. A good working knowledge of hydraulics, engines, electrics, and fault diagnosis are essential, with main dealer experience a distinct advantage.

BASED AT OUR HULL DEPOTKingston upon Hull, commonly known as Hull, is a port city in the East Riding of Yorkshire with a rich wartime history. The TC Harrison JCB Hull depot sells a variety of JCB parts and has access to TCH JCB group stock. The depot is situated off the A63 and is easily accessible via the M180 and M62 motorways.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB- Diagnose faults, repair, and test equipment. Record work done and report any faults not corrected.
- A degree of flexibility is required regarding working hours, as there may be a need to work outside of normal hours.
- Receive electronic (written and verbal) instructions via handheld PDA during breakdowns.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and ensure safe working practices.
- Diagnose faults and report to Supervisor/Manager for instructions on whether to proceed with repairs.
- Complete all work within specified timeframes.
- Maintain acceptable quality standards.
- Identify and liaise with Supervisor/Manager if additional work is necessary.
- Obtain full authority before undertaking any extra work.
- Maintain safety standards at all times.
- Handle customer's property with care.
- Handle TCH company property responsibly.
- Obtain necessary parts from stores.
- Effect repairs and testing promptly.
- Accurately complete and sign off all job cards (electronic or written), providing full descriptions of work carried out.
- Maintain acceptable discipline standards.
- Inform supervisor if completion times cannot be met.
- Discuss vehicle concerns directly with customers when necessary.
- Achieve minimum standards of customer satisfaction as set by the Manager/Supervisor.
