Field Application Engineer

Due to international growth, we are now recruiting for a talented Field Application Engineer (hybrid position).

About the Role - Do you want to improve the technical service experience for our customers in The Netherlands/Belgium region? As a Field Application Engineer (FAE), you translate the customer's lighting needs to the best technical solution. You play a pivotal role between the customer, outside sales and other Inventronics departments. You will be part of a Global team.

Responsibilities

• Process customer requests in the shortest possible time, using the CRM system. Such requests can be technical questions, design-in support, measurements, complaints, certification, sustainability, and ensure professional follow up and communication including hand over to colleagues or other departments when escalation is needed.
• Coordinate and cooperate on the development of sales and product support materials such as: product presentations, user manuals, installation drawings and application guides.
• Support customers, using online tools such as eCatalog, eShop, online configurators etc.
• Participate and organize meetings for training, operational and organizational topics.
• Share sustainable ideas to improve collaboration, knowledge sharing and efficiency.

Qualifications

• A completed Bachelor's degree in technology / engineering or equivalent
• Approx. 2 years experience in Technical Support or Application Engineering;
• Knowledge of lighting systems (Light engines, LED drivers, Light Management Systems)
• Business fluency in English plus Dutch and/or French (spoken and written);
• Strong service and solution oriented. Advanced problem solver and data/information analyst to identify trends and patterns
• Excellent with MS Office. Experience with (online) configuration tools and CRM systems (SalesForce preferred)
• Team player: empathetic team player who can easily adjust from customer view to business view. Share internal and external information when needed, encourage feedback and collaboration for sustainable results
