Hours: Monday - Friday: 2.5 hours per day, Saturday: 6 hours (can specify availability during interview)
Location: South Tyneside
Rates of pay: Age-related national minimum wage, up to £13.43 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks pro rata per annum
Personal Assistant - Supporting a Young Adult with Diverse Needs About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to support a 23-year-old young man with a moderate learning disability, Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, and generalised anxiety disorder.

As a Personal Assistant, you will- Support emotional regulation and help manage behaviours in a calm, understanding manner.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in meaningful activities, both at home and in the community.
- Build confidence and independence within a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide companionship and reassurance to help reduce anxiety and improve well being.
- Be empathetic, patient, and adaptable to individual needs.
- Have experience or understanding of autism, ADHD, and mental health conditions (training will be provided if required).
- Be an effective communicator, able to build trust and positive relationships.
- Be reliable, organised, and resilient when faced with challenges.
- Hold a valid driving licence (preferred but not essential).
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 - 4.
