Role: Deputy Manager (Female)

Location: Beaconsfield (HP9), Buckinghamshire

Hours: Full Time

Job Category: Care and Support - Supported Living

This role requires working on the floor as support worker and performing supernumerary hours each week when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Care Home Manager in overall management, including staff, resident care, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of care staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee assessment, care planning, and implementation of care plans for residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Maintain accurate records: resident files, staff rosters, and financial documents.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in regular meetings and training sessions, contributing to professional development of the team.
Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Required to work on the floor as a support worker and perform supernumerary hours when needed.
  • Female applicant required due to genuine occupational requirement; exempt from gender discrimination rule.
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities and understanding of person centred support.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in similar role within healthcare or social care sector.
  • Relevant qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, motivating and inspiring a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC standards.
  • IT proficiency, including experience with care management systems.
