Our client is a well established and respected poultry enterprise operating at scale with a reputation for quality, compliance, and fair management. With over 650,000 birds, a strong on site team, and long serving staff, the business prides itself on maintaining high welfare standards and a supportive working culture.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a key leadership role within a successful and stable agricultural business.

What You Will Be Doing

As Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of a large scale poultry farm. Leading a team of nine on the poultry side, you will ensure smooth operations, strong performance, and full compliance with industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating the team to achieve high standards of animal welfare, productivity, and compliance.
  • Overseeing daily farm activities, including feed, flock health, biosecurity, and production monitoring.
  • Delivering key performance indicators.
  • Ensuring compliance with DEFRA, Lion Code, and audit requirements.
  • Working alongside on site Technical, Admin, Packing, and Workshop teams.
  • Maintaining a positive, fair, and practical working environment across the farm.
What You Need

You don't need to come from a poultry background, strong livestock management experience is also relevant. What matters most is your attitude and work ethic.

I am looking for someone who is:

  • Hands on, proactive, and leads by example.
  • Experienced in managing people within a livestock or intensive farming environment.
  • Practical, problem solving, and detail focused.
  • Committed to animal welfare and compliance standards.
  • A confident communicator and team leader.
  • Self motivated, reliable, and able to take ownership of the role.
What Is In It for You
  • Performance-related bonus based on production and efficiency KPIs.
  • 5-bedroom house on site.
  • 28 days' holiday including bank holidays.
  • Supportive and fair employer who values long term relationships and commitment.

This is a chance to join a stable, well run business where you will be trusted to get on and manage your team with autonomy and respect.
