What You Will Be Doing
As Farm Manager, you will lead all arable and potato operations. You will:Manage crop planning, planting, growing, and harvest operationsDevelop and trial new crop opportunities to enhance profitabilityCreate nutrition plans, crop rotations, irrigation schedules, and cultivation strategiesMonitor crop performance, pests, and diseases, implementing preventative and reactive measuresRecruit, train, and manage permanent and seasonal staffPlan workloads, manage performance, and promote a positive team cultureOversee machinery and equipment care to ensure efficient useManage budgets, input costs, labour planning, and provide performance reportingMaintain health & safety compliance and champion sustainable farming practices
What You Need
Previous farm management experience, ideally in arable and root crop productionProven leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teamsStrong organisational, planning, and communication abilitiesKnowledge of modern arable and root crop techniques, machinery, and sustainable agricultureAgricultural qualifications beneficialA proactive, innovative mindset and interest in crop diversification
